Face-to-face conferences are back, and we couldn’t be more excited. Growth is one of our pillars at Argos, and what better way to achieve that than by sharing and gaining knowledge at an event designed for exactly that?

We sent three of our very own, Sarah Presch, Director of iSEO, who presented on iSEO best practices, Kim Shouler, Business Development Director, and Rodrigo Cristina, Enterprise Growth Director, to brightonSEO this year (29th-21st Oct) and here’s what they had to say about it:

Here’s what Sarah had to say:

About her biggest takeaway: SEO is definitely very much alive, contrary to what people have been saying about SEO being dead! And considering a decade ago, SEO wasn’t something many people had heard of, and now it’s really come into its own.

About the most memorable presentation: I loved Crystal Carter’s talk that used Beyonce as a case study for cross-channel marketing. Also, Grace Frohlich gave me lots of food for thought on auditing.

About one thing she hopes the audience remembers about her presentation: International SEO is a lot more complex than people think. You can’t just focus on Google translate and hreflang tags; you need to understand the culture, buyer behavior, and exclusive content for different markets, plus not forgetting technical optimization too.

About her overall experience: This conference was the most inclusive conference I’ve ever spoken at as an autistic speaker. They took the time to help me feel at ease without being asked. The organizers even asked which gender we identified with before our talk began. There was also a lot of diversity in the speakers compared to other conferences, especially the language industry ones. So, I think that was really cool.

Here’s what Rodrigo had to say:

About his biggest takeaway: In the language industry, people think of SEO as an afterthought, whereas you need to be auditing and coming up with a strategy right from the beginning. Plus, there’s lots more to SEO than many people think.

About his overall experience: Overall, an enjoyable experience for me because it was a new one.

We look forward to seeing you at the next industry event!
