Diversity in Argos is inevitable, with our members, suppliers, and clients coming from every corner of the globe, with an abundance of languages spoken. It is important to all at Argos, including shareholders and senior management, that there is an open and non-discriminatory environment, where members can grow both on a personal and professional level. 

Argos Multilingual has social, cultural, and environmental responsibilities to the communities wherever we operate. We must actively incorporate every members ideas, knowledge, perspectives, approaches, and styles. For Argos, innovation is not an option; it is a business imperative. We also work with our clients to adapt their translated content to be fully inclusive. 

Additionally, several Argos senior executives are heavily involved ‘Women in Localization’, supporting women to become senior executives in our industry.

Diversity

Argos operates on a global scale, so naturally our teams are diverse. with each day consisting of interactions with several cultures, experiences, locations, and an abundance of languages! Diverse interaction and sharing different perspectives produce creativity and energy. By practicing active inclusion, you can harvest this energy for good. Only by gathering individuals from a wide range of demographic and philosophical differences can you create a diverse reality. This reality is worth protecting. We must value individuals and groups free from prejudice. Through an environment of equality and mutual respect, we will create a success-oriented, cooperative, and caring community. This type of community will generate intellectual strength and produce innovative solutions.

Argos performs better when it considers the perspectives of individuals with different backgrounds and fosters an overall culture that is equitable and inclusive, which includes providing reasonable accommodations as needed. We recruit diverse candidates by seeking out diverse applicant slates from a variety of sources. We retain diverse candidates by fostering a culture of equality and inclusiveness. We work closely with our clients to create diverse teams for client matters. Argos has established many programs and initiatives around diversity and inclusion. We will continue to create and share strategic inclusion and diversity plans with our board of directors. We will work with our board of directors through the development and evaluation of concrete, strategic action plans to prioritize and drive accountability around diversity and inclusion.

From the team members we hire to the customers we serve, diversity, equality and inclusion is a way of life at Argos. Every day, our team members work to make Argos a place where people of all generations, races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, gender identity, disabilities, religious affiliations and backgrounds feel welcome and valued.

Health & Safety

Argos strives to create a safe and healthy workplace for all members. As such, the company is committed to continuously improving workplace facilities and procedures in place to ensure and maintain high standards of physical and psychological health. Argos conducts regular health and safety inspections in order to identify and assess the potential risks to the health and safety of members and is committed to eliminating as many of the risks identified going forward.

Child Labor, Forced Labor, & Human Trafficking​​​​​​​

The following statement outlines the steps and stance Argos Multilingual has taken in support of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015:

Argos is committed to protecting and respecting human rights. We prohibit and have a zero-tolerance approach to any form of forced, compulsory, or child labor or human trafficking in our supply chains or any part of our business. We expect all Argos team members to avoid any practice that constitutes modern slavery in connection with their work for Argos and we do not enter into business with any organization, which knowingly supports, or is found to be involved in slavery, servitude or forced or compulsory labor. As an equal opportunity employer, Argos is dedicated to fostering a non-discriminatory and respectful working environment for our members. Moreover, our Supplier Code of Conduct highlights our commitment to ensuring human rights criteria are respected, with specific avoidance of any form of child and forced labor. These commitments are also echoed in Argos’ Sustainable Procurement Policy that emphasizes the provision of services free of any unethical practices throughout the supply chain.

Working Conditions & Social Dialogue​​​​

Argos regards providing its members with a safe and fair working environment with the highest importance. Working condition issues beyond fair wages and social protection benefits such as flexible work arrangements and worker representative groups are all matters that the company is focused on and dedicated to continuous improvement. Accordingly, as a prominent player in the language industry, good communication and information exchange are essential for Argos. All members have the right of collective bargaining and action, are encouraged to actively communicate with their managers, superiors, and other colleagues, and are supported with a culture of civil, open dialogue throughout the company
