Tony O’Dowd
Founder and Chief Architect of KantanMT
Tony is Founder and Chief Architect at KantanMT.com, a cloud based platform used by some of the largest companies in the world to machine translate billions of words of online content. Prior to this he was Founder of Alchemy Software Development, developers of Alchemy CATALYST, the market leading CAT tool for software and web site localisation. Tony spent three years as a lecturer at Trinity College Dublin, teaching Microprocessor Design and Assembly Language Programming. Aged 50, Tony has a BSC Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin, is a Fellow of the University of Limerick, and is a founder of FIT Ltd., a million government training organization for the long term unemployed.

Wojciech Froelich
CTO at Argos Multilingual
Wojciech Froelich has 18 years of experience in localization engineering. He is CTO at Argos Multilingual where he leads a team of experienced engineers who are responsible for building customer-oriented localization workflows and providing internationalization consultancy and software engineering support to Argos partners. Wojciech focuses on integrating authoring, automated translation management and multilingual publishing systems.

Dan Koenig
Localization Expert for Life Sciences & Localization Manager at Beckman Coulter
Dan Koenig has worked in Technical Communications for more years than he’d care to admit. His experience spans the transition from light tables and IBM Selectric typewriters to modern era CAT systems. For over a decade, he has designed and managed human and technology-based translation processes and systems for Beckman Coulter, Inc., a global medical device manufacturer.

Alex Zekakis
Senior Solutions Architect at XTM International
Alex has been in the localization industry for about nine years now and started off as a localization project manager on the vendor side, on which side he remained until recently. After a few years in the industry he moved onto different roles, initially leading production teams and then started focusing on delivering solutions. He currently holds the role of senior solutions architect at XTM International, where he is primarily focused on supporting pre-sales activities, as well ensuring a smooth on-boarding process for new customers.

Joanna Weitz
Operations Director at Argos Multilingual
Joanna Weitz, Operations Director at Argos Multilingual, has 14 years’ experience in the localization industry, combining a strategic and operational view on the localization process. Joanna started her career at Argos Multilingual as a Project Manager, learning the ins and outs of the translation process. Later, as head of the Medical Project Management Team, she was involved in developing customized and holistic solutions for clients in the life sciences industry while at the same time maintaining close relationships with suppliers and clients. Joanna, a fan of the “quality at source” approach, has led various teams of localization specialists for over a decade as well as implemented and supported customized workflows and solutions for clients across all industries.

Katarzyna Plonka
Team Leader, Project Management at Argos Multilingual
Katarzyna has a degree in Spanish studies from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. From there she has worked her way up within project management at Argos Multilingual to Senior Project Manager for the Life Sciences. Having been with Argos for more than 14 years, Katarzyna now leads a team of project managers as well as some of Argos’ largest life science accounts.
