The Challenge

The marketing team at a global equipment manufacturer needed a faster, more dependable way to hand off large volumes of multilingual content to Argos for translation. Their digital agency’s custom platform required every file transfer to be handled manually, causing a bottleneck as the number of projects and languages grew.

Unlike the technical publications Argos had supported for years, the new marketing projects included brochures, sales manuals, and video assets that required linguists with marketing and machinery expertise and additional multimedia steps.

At the same time, the company’s leadership expressed an interest in AI. Their strong reputation as innovators led them to want to explore how AI could be part of the translation process for their marketing content to improve efficiency and lower costs.

To meet those expectations, the company needed a workflow that eliminated manual effort, supported higher volume, incorporated AI, and delivered consistent quality across every market.

The Solution

To support the pace and volume of the new marketing content, Argos created a direct connection to the digital agency’s platform so files could move automatically into translation. This removed the manual file handling that had slowed earlier efforts and gave each project a consistent starting point, regardless of source language or target market.

Because the client was sending more material than any other Argos MosAIQ client, Argos set up a dedicated instance of the platform to keep jobs moving without delay. From here, both teams focused on building a workflow suited to steady, high-volume demand.

Argos then configured an AI-enabled translation process using Argos MosAIQ Editor that balanced speed with the accuracy the manufacturer required. Files now move through translation memories, machine translation, and two AI agents (one that improves MT output and another that evaluates its quality) before reaching human reviewers.

Detailed prompts were built from the client’s style guides, terminology, and content and then refined using feedback from the marketing team during the year-long pilot. This combination of automated processing and human validation produced the clarity and consistency the company needed while reducing the time and budget spent on each project.

Argos also expanded its production capabilities to support the shift into marketing work. The team assembled linguists with experience in marketing and heavy machinery, added steps for multimedia assets, and aligned terminology and quality expectations with the client’s internal reviewers.

Throughout the pilot and after rollout, Argos stayed closely connected with both marketing and procurement to refine the clients workflow and respond quickly to feedback. The result is a reliable, repeatable process that accommodates growing volumes, new languages, and new content types while giving the company a more efficient way to deliver multilingual marketing materials across its global markets.

The Result

In its first year, the workflow handled more than four million words of the manufacturer’s marketing content across six source languages and fifty-four target languages.

Automating the file transfers eliminate the manual steps that had slowed earlier work, and Argos MosAIQ’s AI-assisted process reduced the time required for each project. Throughput speeds are significantly higher than standard translation, even when every sentence is carefully reviewed by human translators.

During the year-long pilot, the company reviewed every project and made very few corrections, describing the results as “amazing” given the volumes and change in workflow. As volumes and language pairs increased, the process kept pace and the success story spread to other groups inside the company. As a result, new pilots have already started for additional content types.
