Two weeks ago Shannon Rose Farrell, our Life Sciences Localization Thought Leader, and Rafal Lichtenberg, our Senior Life Sciences Project Manager, had the opportunity to attend the Q1 Productions 2nd Annual Medical Device and Diagnostic Labeling Conference in Bethesda MD, USA. It was attended by 75 managers and directors from labeling, technical writing, quality, operations, compliance and regulatory groups.

The theme of the conference was “Global Labeling Harmonization”. Many key experts in the space spoke about the changing face of the industry and the upcoming regulatory deadlines, with a heavy focus on the upcoming UDI Final Rule Phase 2 deadline in September of this year.

During the conference Shannon and Rafal had the opportunity to meet many wonderful people from the industry and hear key speakers from Siemen’s Healthcare, Medtronic, Endologix, Abbvie and Advanced Bionics as well as participate in many of the interactive panel and breakout discussions. A lot of new knowledge was shared during these sessions and we are excited to pass along some of the industry’s most prevalent information through a series of blog posts over the coming weeks. In addition we will provide some helpful tips to get these changes in line with your life science localization and translation program.
