How It Works

The Mosaiq Workflow involves multiple AI-driven stages that improve the quality of TM and MT outputs before they reach human reviewers.

Our workflow integrates intelligent AI agents at every step to refine and enhance the translation process, ensuring high-quality results with minimal manual intervention.

These agents work independently, each focusing on a specific task, but combine seamlessly to deliver a polished output that reduces human effort and transforms the role of linguists into that of expert reviewers.

1. AI-Assisted Content Analysis & Optimization (Optional)

For non-native or unclear source text, this step leverages AI to analyze and rewrite challenging content to improve clarity and translatability. It ensures machine translation (MT) engines can produce better initial drafts and reduces errors downstream, making it ideal for technical manuals, product descriptions, or troubleshooting guides.

2. AI-Improved Translation Memory

Our AI agents enhance fuzzy TM matches (75–99% similarity) by evaluating the source changes and injecting client-specific context such as glossaries, style guides, and document summaries. This ensures TM matches are improved, consistent, and aligned with the source, reducing the manual effort required to fine-tune them.

3. Intelligent MT Engine Selection

We select the best-performing MT engine based on the language pair, content type, and domain. The selected engine generates an initial draft, which is then refined by our AI agents, trained on MT-post editing standards to meet client-specific requirements.

4. AI Post-Editing and Quality Estimation

Our AI agent reviews MT outputs, correcting errors and enhancing quality with advanced prompting techniques. It applies additional context, including MQM (Multidimensional Quality Metrics) standards, to ensure outputs are closer to human-level quality before linguist review.

5. AI LQA/Review

The final AI agent applies industry-standard MQM (Multidimensional Quality Metrics) to evaluate translation quality. It assesses each segment, adjusting as necessary, and provides a quality score and feedback for additional transparency flagging segments that require adjustments. By combining all prior agent outputs, it ensures consistency and accuracy while minimizing errors.

6. Human Linguist Review and Validation

With the heavy lifting completed by AI agents, linguists transition from post-editors to expert reviewers. Their focus shifts to verifying tone, style, and brand alignment, making nuanced adjustments where necessary. This streamlined process allows linguists to work more efficiently, handling up to 2–3x more content compared to traditional workflows.
